The Science Museum in London is world-renowned for its historic collections, awe-inspiring galleries and exhibitions. And it’s free! Take the kids to one of the entertaining storytellings or to a workshop where they can take part in a fun hands-on activity. There is an extra charge for the IMAX 3D Cinema, simulators and some special exhibitions. The Science Museum is the most visited science and technology museum in Europe. There are over 15,000 objects on display, including iconic objects such as the Apollo 10 Command capsule. You’ll be sure to find something to amazing everyone in the family. Interactive galleries bring to life scientific and modern science debates. In addition kids have the opportunity to experience what it’s like to fly with the Red Arrows or blast into space on an Apollo mission in the stunning 3D simulators. School workshops and sessions are available to book online. The museum provides a variety of educational sessions that have been developed alongside the National Curriculum. Each session or workshop can be tailored to fit your specific needs. There are a number of trails for kids to do including the Space Trail. Teachers can lead pupils on a trail exploring the space-related exhibitions in the museums galleries.
